Special Agent Vivian 'Viv' Johnson is an FBI agent in the missing person unit team. She is the one who has worked for the longest time in the team with Jack, since the mid-1990s, so they are very close.

She is married to Marcus with whom she has a son, born in 1990, Reggie.

Although she does not always agree with his methods and actions, she is extremely loyal to Jack and is always there to support him. She is very protective with the other team members. She is really Jack’s right hand in the team.

When Jack plans to move to Chicago to follow his wife who got a promotion there, she gets the position of team leader on Jack’s recommendations. However, Jack’s wife suddenly announces to him that she wants to divorce and Vivian’s superiors decide to give back his position to Jack. This situation creates a serious cold between Jack and Vivian until Vivian discovers that she is seriously ill and that Jack shows himself present for her, Vivian then understands that despite his mistake, Jack remains her friend. She has to manage her job, her family life and her health when she learns that she has a very serious heart disease that could kill her if she does not have surgery. She then has to learn to manage her husband who is very worried, and her son who does not support the situation and begins to have serious behavioral problems. Vivian has an operation and is cured, she then re-enters the team and continues her life.
